New Year at It's A Ruff Life

I hope everyone is looking forward to a terrific new year.  We are at It's A Ruff Life.  We have some great things planned including the launch of our new website and at least another 3 explosive, funny novels for you to enjoy.

Bella's been looking at some new free games for this blog for you to play.  Shame about the snow line game it seems to stop working at the fourth level.  The other games have been great fun.  I've beaten Bella at all of them.

Enjoy your New Year celebrations.

We are having a party at Beckingham Grange.  I'll have great fun annoying Bella and her friends.  Max

What gifts did you get for Christmas?

it's a ruff life

I hope you all had a nice Christmas.  We did at it's a ruff life; I bought Max a big bag of fizzy popping candy.  It was so funny he kept foaming at the mouth and drooling over everywhere; at one time Lord A banned him from the room because he was messing everything up.  I just laughed.

Max bought me some house slipper socks, they are a gaudy green colour.  I won't wear them; they are not at all stylish and they are not at all glittery. I'll give them to the animal shelter.

Maria bought me a fab new hat.  Ursula bought me a pair on sparkly pink paw bracelets.  I'm already wearing them, they are so 'bellarish'.

Lord A bought me a funky new musical bed; I can set it to play any music I like; it's 'bellatastic'

What's your Favourite Christmas Song?

To make sure that everthing's fair at Beckingham Grange in it's a ruff life I've decided that we should make a Christmas list of all our favourite Christmas songs.  There's no way that I'd want to listen to the type of music Max likes all the time.

Lord A said that he wanted everyone to be involved including Maria our house keeper, Seamus our chef and Mr Parchment our butler.

I've made sure that my three favourite songs are at the top of the list, so that they will get played the most.  I've chosen I wish it could be Christmas everyday, jingle bell rock and rockin around the Christmas tree.

Max will probably pick something silly like when Santa got stuck up the chimney or a I want a hippopotamus for Christmas or the restroom door said gentlemen.

Let us know what is your favourite Christmas song.

Play Christmas Holiday Games at It's a Ruff Life

Bella and I are so in the holiday mood at It's a Ruff Life.  Beckingham Grange looks wicked decked out in decorations and lots of twinkly lights.  I even have to admit that the Christmas tree in the main hall looks tons better since Bella changed my design; it's a good thing I don't get touchy about such things.

Bella has been an annoying nuisance so I challenged her to a computer game competition to shut her up.  Bella can't stand being last at anything and she is so competitive that she will never turn down a challenge when it comes from me.

We spent an afternoon playing the Christmas games on this site - they are really fun.  At first Bella was loosing in all the games but by the end of the competition Bella won the Christmas Meyhem game, that game reminds me a bit of what Bella's like in real life - CRAZY!  I won all the rest, so you can safely say that I was the overall winner.

To make the competition more fun Bella agreed to the proviso of whoever won waited on the other sibling for the whole of Christmas Day and Boxing Day.  Bella was so annoyed - I can't wait till Christmas Day!

Don't forget to play the free games we played. Click on each page above to access them.  You'll have great fun.

What's on Your Christmas List?

There was only one topic of conversation at the Doglet Academy today from It's a Ruff Life- What's on your Christmas wish list?

Mine's awesome, as you'd expect, and of course it includes a year's membership and the most wonderful place on earth - Canine Calm the top canine spa and fitness centre, plus the usual stuff, clothes, shoes, music, did I mention accessories?

Some dogs only wanted collars, bowls, leads - how boring!

So I thought I'd ask you:

How amazing is your Christmas Wish List? Let me know what you asked Santa for.

Bella's Being Kind!

Because it's so close to Christmas don't forget that if you are still looking for a great Christmas present It's A Ruff Life is an awesomely funny book to read.

I thought it was too good to last.  Bella started being kind to me, I don't mean actually acknowledging the fact that I live in the same house as her, but actually taking time to talk to me.  Wonders will never cease!

She asked me if I'd try out some food she'd made, you firstly had to pick me up off the floor at the thought of Bella actually doing something other than fur, nails, fashion and dancing, of course I said yes, what dog would turn it's nose up at free food?  Oh I forgot, Bella who is always watching her weight, only food at meal times for her.

She gave me a bowl of fresh salmon mousse - it was okay but nothing amazing; I don't know why she gets so excited over salmon mousse,  I expect because Seamus makes it better than she does.

Anyway to cut a long story short this kindness lasted two weeks and for the whole of the two weeks, at some point in the day, a bowl of salmon mousse was placed under my nose.  By the end of the two weeks I was glad if I never saw another salmon again.

It was only when Bella got back from the academy that I realized why she had been so nice to me.  She had challenged Lemondrop to a salmon mousse bake off and I had been the official, this is not perfected yet, taster.

I said that I was glad that she had won, if only to stop eating bland tasting salmon mousse, I didn't tell her that part.  It didn't matter though the thoughtfulness I'd now come use to finished as abruptly as it had started.  I am now only her adopted brother to be tolerated, it feels so good to have things back to normal.

Salmon Mousse

I don't know if you know but one of my favourite foods is the fresh salmon mousse that Seamus, the chef from Beckingham Grange in it's a ruff life, makes for me.  It's 'delish'.  Well I got into an argument with Lemondrop at The Doglet Academy about who makes the best salmon mousse in the world.  I said to my, temporarily not now VBF, you wouldn't know the world's best salmon mousse if you sat in it. Any way to cut a long story short I somehow challenged her to a salmon mousse contest.  I told her that not only am I a salmon mousse tasting expert, I am also the world's top canine salmon mousse chef.  I didn't think she'd take me seriously.

I've been practicing everyday how to make salmon mousse and now I'm fed up of it and it's still another week to go before we have our big competition.

Seamus has said that he'll be on on the judging panel but so is Lemondrop's chef, so I've got to find some way of winning the competition.  I can't let Lemondrop win - I'll be the laughing stock of the school and there's no way I'm going to let that happen.

I've just had a brilliant idea - I'll slip some anchovy sauce in her mixture while she's not looking, it will make it taste really salty.

                                                              *   *   *   *   *   *

Guess what?  My stupendous plan worked - I won the competition, I am now the official world's best salmon mousse chef, and I didn't even have the time to doctor Lemondrop's mixture - It turns out that Lemondrop forgot to bring the fresh lemon juice and apparently that made all the difference - Yey ME! Totally BELLARISH or what!

Don't forget to check out It's a Ruff Life for some of my most amazing adventures.  The book will make a great Christmas gift!
