Pig Pie Birthday Contest - Great Fun

 

Over at It's A Ruff Life, instead of being at Beckingham Grange or out on a case at work, I enjoyed a sleep over at Ben's house.  It was his birthday the other day and a small group of us got together to celebrate.  We had a fun filled night; it started with an air hockey competition, which was fast and furious, then we went go carting for a couple of hours.  It was a good job that there were lot's of rubber tyres surrounding the track as some of the hair pin bends were tricky and each of us nearly tipped over.  We finished off at Ben's house having a 'pig pie contest.

A pig pie contest is not for the faint hearted.  Bella would freak out at the thought of it, which let's face it would be great fun to see.  In fact I might just bring her along to one, under a false pretext of course, just to see what she would do.

Ben had prepared the room, which was a good thing.  He had put a plastic cover over the floor and had and taped it up the walls.  By now you must be thinking what on earth is a pig pie contest, it sounds more like the preparation for a crime scene than a fun activity.

We arrived at Ben's house and he led us all, 6 dogs, to the specially prepared room.......

Fashionmation Week at It's a Ruff Life

At the Doglet Academy, in It's A Ruff Life, at my fashion and design class we did a project last week.  We had to work in groups and I was put with Louise, Penny, China, & Kajy.  We had to create our own fashion exclusive product and come up with a unique way of letting the world know about it.

Naturally I dibbed on being the group leader but Mrs Walsh wouldn't let me.  She said I had led in too many things and I should give someone else a chance - as if I'd do that.  Any way I did get my way in 2 of the most important things of the whole project - what it was and the best way to let everyone know about it.

We sat around arguing for ages until I finally said, "What is the one thing that we can't do without and that says tons about who we are?"

Well did you guess what I came up with?

"How about a bellatastic school bag made from shiny waterproof material covered in crystals and led lights, great when it's dark in the mornings." I said.  They took a bit of convincing but eventually they came round to my idea.  "We have to set the fashion trend here Canines.  If we don't who will?  Having a lighted school bag will be awesome.  Even better if it also has a blue tooth transmitter to our cell phones as well."  That was when the ideas really started coming.

"How about a pop out make-up bag and mirror, it will save so much time trying to find your eye make-up when you're in a hurry?"

"Yeah, and how about a lighted mirror while were at it?" Chuckles said

Soon we  had a a gazillion ideas of what could automatically pop out of the bag - none of them included school books.  "All we have to do now is decide what colour it's going to be in," I said.  What colour do you think we chose?

What's Your Favourite Hobby?

When I'm not busy fighting the latest nasty criminal in It's a Ruff Life it goes without saying that I have many hobbies and all of them  are sports related in some way.  One of my favourite things is paint balling, or Nerf blasting with a group of mates.  I invited Bella to come and try it once.  I'm sure you can imagine the reply I got.  Needless to say she didn't join us.

What kinds of sports or hobbies do you like when you're not swamped with homework?  Do you guys love sports and martial arts like me?

My new fashion must have

I just got this new hat - it's totes bellatastic.  It's bright pink, of course, and finished with a band of of crystals, so vogue and so ME.

I needed some new fashion.  My old school clothes were so last year, if you know what I mean.  I am after all the most 'pops' doglet at the academy, what am I saying, I mean the world and that takes hard work and constant attention to the fur and fashion.

Play Christmas Holiday Games at It's a Ruff Life

Bella and I are so in the holiday mood at It's a Ruff Life.  Beckingham Grange looks wicked decked out in decorations and lots of twinkly lights.  I even have to admit that the Christmas tree in the main hall looks tons better since Bella changed my design; it's a good thing I don't get touchy about such things.

Bella has been an annoying nuisance so I challenged her to a computer game competition to shut her up.  Bella can't stand being last at anything and she is so competitive that she will never turn down a challenge when it comes from me.

We spent an afternoon playing the Christmas games on this site - they are really fun.  At first Bella was loosing in all the games but by the end of the competition Bella won the Christmas Meyhem game, that game reminds me a bit of what Bella's like in real life - CRAZY!  I won all the rest, so you can safely say that I was the overall winner.

To make the competition more fun Bella agreed to the proviso of whoever won waited on the other sibling for the whole of Christmas Day and Boxing Day.  Bella was so annoyed - I can't wait till Christmas Day!

My own Language

At it's a ruff life, in the popularity stakes I am way above Max.  I out shine him at everything - intelligence, looks, breeding, fashion sense, friends etc - the list is endless.  I mean I even have my own vocabulary - take a look

bellalicious - the best tasting thing ever

How many other canine's can say they have their own awesome set of words named after them?  You and I know the answer to that question and it certainly isn't Max!

Mine's awesome, as you'd expect, and of course it includes a year's membership and the most wonderful place on earth - Canine Calm the top canine spa and fitness centre, plus the usual stuff, clothes, shoes, music, did I mention accessories?

Some dogs only wanted collars, bowls, leads - how boring! 

So I thought I'd ask you:

Bella's Being Kind!

Because it's so close to Christmas don't forget that if you are still looking for a great Christmas present It's A Ruff Life is an awesomely funny book to read.











I thought it was too good to last.  Bella started being kind to me, I don't mean actually acknowledging the fact that I live in the same house as her, but actually taking time to talk to me.  Wonders will never cease!

She asked me if I'd try out some food she'd made, you firstly had to pick me up off the floor at the thought of Bella actually doing something other than fur, nails, fashion and dancing, of course I said yes, what dog would turn it's nose up at free food?  Oh I forgot, Bella who is always watching her weight, only food at meal times for her.

She gave me a bowl of fresh salmon mousse - it was okay but nothing amazing; I don't know why she gets so excited over salmon mousse,  I expect because Seamus makes it better than she does.

Anyway to cut a long story short this kindness lasted two weeks and for the whole of the two weeks, at some point in the day, a bowl of salmon mousse was placed under my nose.  By the end of the two weeks I was glad if I never saw another salmon again.

It was only when Bella got back from the academy that I realized why she had been so nice to me.  She had challenged Lemondrop to a salmon mousse bake off and I had been the official, this is not perfected yet, taster.

I said that I was glad that she had won, if only to stop eating bland tasting salmon mousse, I didn't tell her that part.  It didn't matter though the thoughtfulness I'd now come use to finished as abruptly as it had started.  I am now only her adopted brother to be tolerated, it feels so good to have things back to normal.

Land Yacht Racing - Wicked

Met up with a group of friends yesterday in it's a ruff life and we went land yacht racing.  It was WICKED.  We raced across the field blown by high winds and massive sails.  It was awesome.

Those things are really difficult to steer at top speed and a couple of times a few of us overturned the carts.  We weren't really hurt; just a few bruises but it was well worth it.

I think I might take land yacht racing up as a new hobby.  It's great for developing coordination and lightening fast reflexes, which are essential for capturing the world's most dangerous criminals.

The Doglet Academy

Yeah!  Lord A from It's a Ruff Life, has finally got the point that I want to go to 'The Doglet Academy.  So he should after all the ads and leaflets I've sent him by email.  I start next week and so does my VBF Lemondrop.  I can hardly wait.  It should be great FUN.

Lord A thinks that it's just a free style dancing dog training school, but it's way more than that.  It has an awesome fashion course - is that for me or what?  It has a dog obedience class - boring!  I'll be sure to miss out on that one; it'll be a totes complete waste of my time.

Ursula, my paid guardian and human friend, has just brought me back from my first day at 'The Academy'.  I've already made 5 new friends, I'm so popular.  I've decided to set up a select group called 'The Bella Belles'.  One of my new friends is called Cassie, she's not very fashionable YET, but we can work on that, said to me,  "Bella you wear such awesome clothes and you're very pretty."
"I know," I said.  I just had to agree with her; it is the truth after all.  The Bella Belles will soon be the most popular group in 'The Academy'.

I'm planning a sleepover for 8 of my friends; we'll have a party, music, watch human girlie movies and paint each others' paw nails - it will be such good, noisy fun.  It will drive Max nuts!

Bella

The Doglet Party of The Year

Well Beckingham Grange from It's a Ruff Life has never had so much activity going on.  I'd never seen anything like it.  I'm sure as much thought and care went into creating the 'doglet party of the year' as went into a well planned heist.  The amount of food, balloons, banners, lights and other decorations that came were enough to decorate a shopping mall at Christmas, let alone a ballroom and sun terrace of a private home.

To say it was a pink affair; was, to state the obvious, an understatement of the century.  I didn't know that there were so many different shades of pink in existence.

I stayed well out of the way in my room.  To be honest I wasn't invited.  But to be absolutely honest with you I was glad.  What real dog in it's right mind would want to be in a room full of screaming female doglets?

The band sounded good and Seamus snook a plate of food and birthday cake in to my room for me.  I had much more fun playing digital screen games.

I don't think Bella was too impressed with the gift I gave her.  But what gift do you get an over demanding, got everything doglet - a sparkly toothbrush, right?  She thanked me but then made the comment about at least it was sparkly even though it was the wrong color, wrapped in the wrong colored paper.

Some canines seem impossible to please and it's just my luck that I now live in the same house with the world's number 1 butt ache. Still I'm glad she had a good party as it kept her off my tail for a bit.

THE WORLD'S GREATEST DOGLET PARTY

This week has been the most awesome week!  at it's a ruff life.  It's been my party week and I have been celebrating every day.  

You do realize that I am now a DOGLET! How 'bellasome' is that?

The amazing party that I had and planned was so awesome; it was the most sparkly, themed doglet party EVER!  Every important canine was there including my VBF Lemondrop, Chuckles, Louise and a  host of my Zumba class friends.  Everyone wore pink- my fave color and Seamus made the biggest Bday cake.  It had my picture decorated on the front of it.  Mingle Mogels, a hot new group sang live outside on the swimming pool terrace and we danced for hours and hours.  It was such FUN!

I got to open a gazillion gifts.  My absolute fave was Lord A's gift; guess what he gave me?  An open line of credit for a chic new canine boutique, Vogdo that had just opened in London; is that heavenly or what?  I can't wait to start the magic word 'shopping'.

Max even gave me a present.  I thanked him, it was my birthday after all.  He's clueless when it comes to buying gifts; all he bought me was a sparkly toothbrush! What dog in it's right mind would buy a canine doglet, on her most important birthday, a toothbrush?  At least it was sparkly, even though it was the wrong color.
